It’s important to reserve your taxi boat beforehand. If you drive, you will park at Eldred’s Marina where you will catch the Pirate’s Water Taxi, which will bring you to the Island. 941-697-5777.
The Marina is located at 6301 Boca Grande Causeway, Placida. 941-697-1431 (The town ‘may’ come up as Rotunda West on GPS) Parking is 8.00/day. You will prepay for the days(s) and get a pass to put on your windshield before boarding the water taxi.
To reserve the water taxi, you can call as early as 1-2 months ahead of time, (especially if it is a holiday week) to reserve your spot as the Captain can only accommodate 6 at one time.
Pets Policy: Guests must disclose in advance if they are bringing animals, including the number and type of pets. Failure to report pets prior to arrival will result in charges being automatically deducted from the security deposit.

1. No Smoking: Please refrain from smoking inside the property.
2. Quiet Hours After 10 pm: To respect our neighbors, keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm.
3. No Eating or Drinking in Bedrooms: Maintain cleanliness by avoiding eating or drinking in the bedrooms.
4. AC Adjustment: Set the air conditioning at 78F.
5. No Unregistered Guests: For security reasons, only registered guests are allowed.
6. Leave Shoes Outside: Please keep shoes outside the house.
7. Barbecue Area Instructions: Close propane valves after using the barbecue.
8. Laundry Instructions: Leave towels inside the laundry room.
9. Kitchen Area: Before departing, turn on the dishwasher.
10. Refrigerator: Please clean and empty EVERYTHING inside the refrigerator before departing.
11. Checkout Time: Checkout time is 10 am.
12. No Turtle Disturbance: Do not shine lights on turtles at night or allow dogs to harm them.Checkout Instructions:
1. Trash: Dispose of all trash in the container next to the grill.
2. Thermostat Setting: Set the thermostat to 78°F before leaving.
3. Dishwashing: Wash all dishes or load them into the dishwasher before you leave.
4. Propane Tank: Close the propane tank valve if you used the grill.
5. Refrigerator and Freezer: Please ensure that the refrigerator and freezer are empty before departure.
6. Lock Doors: Securely lock all doors before departure.
7. Close Windows: Close all windows to prevent weather damage.
8. Beach Items: Leave all beach items clean and in the area where you found them.
9. Before you go please your review is important for us. @puravidalgi Vrbo and Airbnb.- Turn off all lights.
- Laundry Instructions: Leave towels inside the laundry room.
- Clean with fresh water beach chairs and cooler.
- All trash bags must be left at the barbecue downstairs. The fee for removing the trash bags is 15$ per bag.

• Island Access: Park at Eldred’s Marina and take the Pirate’s Water Taxi to reach the island. Reserve your spot by calling 941-697-5777.To reserve the water taxi, you can call as early as 1-2 months ahead of time, (especially if it is a holiday week) to reserve your spot as the Captain can only accommodate 6 at one time. The water taxi ‘day rates’ run from 8:30 AM-5 PM, 7 days per week, 365 days a year. Rates will go up before and after normal business hours and the Captain will do his best to accommodate your schedule. The one way rate for 1-2 people is $25 and $15 for each additional person in your party!. They will ask the Dock number our is Dock 78.
The Taxi Golf car service cost and pick up number is: $20 a ride! Bret’s # 941-223-4548. Your are need to book a week before arrival!.
• Emergencies: In case of emergency, call 911. Chief Bill Underhill, our fire chief, is an EMT/paramedic and is available on the island at all times.
• Grocery Delivery: Use the island’s grocery delivery service for a hassle-free experience. Call Evan Merrit at 941-830-1346 for more information.There is a Publix grocery store close to Eldred’s Marina. There is a Winn-Dixie and Walmart in nearby Englewood. If driving, we suggest you bring a cooler.
• Pizza Delivery: Enjoy wood-fired pizza delivered directly to your house or the beach. Call Willy’s One Eye Pizza at (941) 402-5093.Thank you for following these instructions and for taking care of our property on Little Gasparilla Island!
